Comfort food? Sweet - Apple pie out of the refrigerator / Salty - Ruffles and french onion dip / Savory - chicken salad sub with lettuce/chz/pickles / Doomsday - A sleeve of powdered Donettes and a bottled Starbucks Frappuccino, both purchased at a gas station.

I have a high school acquaintance who fled to Ireland with her Irish husband after last time Trump got elected. Smart move.

I've got nothing quippy to say about the election. I'm very disappointed and wholly unsurprised.

What brought in the new subscribers? I hope I didn't miss a viral D-Day post/prank.

Also, is this next book "the present" part of the trilogy? If so, you've got ample material to work with. I've been leaning heavily into my Carl Hiaasen/Paul Beatty voice for my current project. Insanity is the only path to sanity.

The next round’s the present, that’s right. The drift from “I hope people like this” to “I hope publishing’s legal” has lightened my fingers a bit. Call it perspective, or an upside-down heirarchy of needs.

As for the jump, I assume such things are beyond my input at this point. The gods have decided to let it rain.
