You Need This
The radical experiment in "things mattering between episodes" continues. A nice review on either of the podcast duopoly sites would make my day.

War Journal
You know, I spend a lot of time ripping on tradition and vacuity. Yet every time I do well in an arcade booth, "ASS" reclaims the throne.
I didn't top any arcade charts on my Midwest trip, where I caught up with a friend. The flight there was seamless. The flight back was hell. Just one betrayal is an upgrade for American Airlines, who I assume are on an upswing. They might catch up to the Wright Bros. by 2040.
That pressure cascaded to you reading this on Thursday. It's like Wednesday, if you squint. Please squint.

Hold your jokes to a high standard. You're living in a stock parody period. The 2020's equivalent of Fallout will print money for your grandchildren, unless things work out and we ditch money. Either way, your lines mocking the present may be repeated for the the rest of your life, and far beyond. If you don't want to be annoyed until you're lowered into the Earth, put some extra work in.

From my point of view, diurnal sleep is evil.

Ever given a writerDeck a spin? I'm curious about them. For the uninitiated/employed, they're single-function word processing devices. Usually homebrewed (unless you hate money) and often inspired by AlphaSmarts and typewriters.
While I lack classic attention problems (I think, ask my guidance counselor), it might could be a coup for me. I'm nothing if not addicted to the bit, and just having one might boost my word count to "relevant."
All those lines about curiosity and might and maybe? Empty lies. Orders have been made. I'll report in on the experiment later.

The next author's thesis and outline has crystalized. Grab How to Dodge a Cannonball so that it can exist.

The Past
Princeton's four-day reunion ritual is almost afoot. I'm sitting it out, but it produced this fun article.
The Future
I have no idea when any of them come out, but I've handed in a variety of promo nonsense for the book. Keep your eyes peeled, I suppose.
Not Brought to You By
Quick suggestion for the drug safety types. You've eaten brand pavement for decades, so I suggest taking the free game. With me? Great.
See this old Marlboro campaign?

Let it settle in.

Print it today. As is. Don't mess with the art. Don't screw with the copy. Don't add a long-winded explanation of how insane this looks now. Retain every element of this miracle you can legally can.
Enjoy the awards.
