Newsreel

GameStop's up again, unless you read this after lunch. The Supreme Court upheld the ban on the tired, the poor, and huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Andrew Cuomo lost his Emmy, reversing ten years of corruption. Image Comics cofounder Rob Liefeld tried arguing on the internet, hurting his Image. Facebook's Metaverse promises to bring the office to your home, hotel, and afterlife. Giant turtles like swallowing birds whole, a discovery ruining dozens of cutesy brand mascots.

War Journal

Forrest Gump lied. Not just about powering through childhood disability, or the wisdom of marrying a mescaline addict. But the idea that you never know what's coming next. Life's on a pretty predictable loop. If you stop and squint, you can see the course of most diets, relationships, and invasions of Afghanistan. The challenge is making something different happen. I spent five years running on a Möbius strip: maximum motion with minimal change. Watching things happen again feels incredible. I finally have a real chance be a writer, the one non-Batman thing I've ever wanted to be.

The Present

Introducing: "Side Effects Include Survival." A humble, only slightly enraged campaign for the people dragging us further down the viral spiral. On Weeaboo Hell, we're doing Book Reports again. It's a simple game: we each read different manga, and presented our findings. Sam's illiterate, so he put a slight twist on the theme. I like how it came out, so I split it into two parts to milk it. Part One's up here.

The Past

Once upon a time, TaskRabbit put out the most abrasive campaign of my lifetime. Until a startup called Bodega  promised to "put bodegas out of business" in the same month. I couldn't let an open door like that pass, so I put together Sambo, a people-powered startup with similar values. It's my favorite mock campaign by a mile.

The Future

Everything Abridged  is still coming in April. The only book to cure gout, ennui, and any viruses that might be floating around at the time.

I have two pranks/campaigns/attacks on public property on deck. I'll try to space them out a bit for impact, but I've got no impulse control.
