Hopefully racism is behind my airline check record. If this is my luck, I might have to leave the mirror breaking society.

The Palisades Mall (the fortress of Nyack, New York) offered large, multi-age, suspened obstacle course. The Palisades Mall is also one of the last malls to succeed/exist in America, in any form. The economic lesson's clear: only Ninja Warrior can get us through the greater depression. Let's build an obstacle course to tomorrow.

Perhaps other comedies were subtler, or more empathic. But few tapped the logic behind nativist panic attacks like South Park's anti-future orgy. I hope to reach a joke that resonant one day. Or profitable. In fact, what was I saying about resonance?

In the past, I've called this Eternal Summer, for Everything. Too wordy. The Dim Ages is fine.

I heard "About Damn Time," in the wild. The upbeat spirit inspired a spin on an old classic.

Feeling down, a woman visits the doctor.

"My boss is insane, my career is dead, and I feel awful about life."

"I have just the thing," says the doctor. "There's a positivity popstar in town. Lizzo. You should go see her."

"But doctor, my insane boss is Lizzo."

Remember last week's question, about good ads for trash? This may reveal some of my pretenses, but I like half of a recurring Starbucks campaign. And think that Starbucks is better at union busting than coffee. And property manipulation than coffee. And sugar poisoning than coffee. For our purposes, all that's at least trash-adjacent.

First, the stupid half.

Stupid. Below the threshold of meaning. The sound of a brain bouncing off a deadline.

Then there's the bit I like.

A cup above every shop with a Starbucks within the range of the American attention span. That's amusing. Applicable, if you're having trouble kicking your brain into motion that morning.

It's not the first time they've done this. I think I even wrote about it the last time I saw it. But I still like the idea. It's a fun deployment of the fact Starbucks infests your city like termites.
