Berlin, Round 2. My Fritz Cola fixation's back. There's a universe of international Coke challengers, and I must collect them all to be whole.

I've finally done it. My fancy training and sleepless output have made me the leading literary voice on Sperm Racing. If you need a dense, recondite piece on Sperm Racing as a snapshot of the empire's stroke, I'm your guy. I'm a big believer of reigning in hell.

Master your willpower. Defeat time. Jump into REM sleep directly after coffee. You'll have wild, MDMA-grade dreams.

The second Berlin trip's gone well--I'm lucky to go anywhere, especially with my hobby of public, antisocial, and clearly-labeled crimes. But while I'm having fun, everyone here is having a heart attack week. It's hard to miss.
There's deluxe tension in the air, in generous quantities. At least in the kind of places a comedian summoned by a journalist ends up. Not the exact same flavor as Harris's campaign melting—the local recipe cuts back on denial, and piles on dread. There's vacation-friendly dread in the conversation. Small talk with big panic, I suppose.
Sensible, really. Useful hope's more about solutions than denial. Or, perhaps more often, bracing for impact than denial. Denial really doesn't work out.

The language tilt continues. I don't do many things well, but I do them all doggedly.
I'm adding, per assorted elder dorks' advice, some subtitle-free material to my usual distractions. I'd focused most of my immersion on reading at the speed of a stone, so it's a nice change of pace. I can't tell you if it's super productive, but boy do I like the lights and sounds.
First, I'm trying some Studio Trigger shows. If you know Trigger, missing a word or ten isn't high tragedy. You can follow the lights and sounds.
While the linguistic value remains unproven, the explosions have done wonders for my mood. I guess you should only spend 90% of life in a looping training montage. Even in a Trigger show, surrounded by motivational lights and sounds. Good to know.

Time to check on the big stage. It's surprisingly scarce in this section: brands in your living room, interrupting things you enjoy, through agencies buying your data. You can see why we don't spend much time there, but it pays to check on Minitrue now and then.
For example: Revolut. Convenient international banking, until you get conversion fees anyway. Such is life in the zone (Earth).
They've got a simple visual metaphor:

Anxiety makes the world feel smaller. So our cashless protagonist flails through restaurants and art galleries until they turn into Lilliput. If only he had Revolut! Or some cash. Or TransferWise. Or just tanked the fee on his credit card. We're focused on Revolut.

Something about a budget nudges ads toward blunt fantasy metaphors. I suppose they feel safe. That said, I think the idea's fine. The narration spin-kicking the joke isn't, but it's nice to only feel insulted by the execution.
