Amidst all the wartime lunacy, rest assured that my thoughts remain rigidly self-centered. I wouldn’t call them sane by any stretch, but you’ll likely find them a nice break from staring at all-caps Times headlines.

Upon reflection, Ludacris shouting “2 Fast, 2 Furious” at the start of Act the Fool is the peak of cross-promotional history. Everything else is imitation.

A side project of mine this year: I’m writing insane modest proposal style editorials, and seeing which newspaper caves and publishes one. I’ll let you know when there’s a bite.

I feel a little behind on everything. I’ve been working at a steady clip, since that’s the only way American brains are allowed to release dopamine, but timelines have slipped out from under me a bit. I suspect the solution will be to write more about the gap instead of appraising my workflow.

I have an evergreen disdain for self-help gurus that I’ve never done anything with creatively. I might take a stab at changing that soon.
